LO-REZ Model I2/HF Double-Row Steel-Spring Flexible Coupling and Model 8RE-2 Torque Limiter provide exceptional low-frequency isolation in power train, while transmitting up to 5500 hp to ARIEL Model JGC/6 Natural Gas Compressor, from SOLAR Gas Turbine driving through LUFKIN Model NDLS 390 16.56:1 Gear Reducer. LO-REZ Viscous Torsional Damper is located on gear box secondary shaft to control higher-frequency torsional excitations. System operates 800 to 1000 rpm.

 

In 105,000 operating hours since installation in late 1993, not a single I2 Coupling main spring has failed.
